Today we went on a tour led by an art history student at the university.  We walked around Fatih, a mostly conservative working-class area with a lot of old buildings.  The tour was great, because we went to some lesser-known sights, and our guide was very knowledgeable and excited about the history.  It was a long, exhausting day, though, so here are pictures with no captions.
