Ça ça ça çiya!

We returned to Kadiköy to eat at Çiya and have delicious family-style Anatolian food.  (The website's technically for their kebab restaurant, which is across the street.  At Çiya Sofrası you just point to the ready-made things you want.)

(I think more dishes were still coming).

Then, we saw Batman!  OK, let me explain something about Turkish movie theaters.  They have a smoke break.  Can you imagine the lights coming on for a ten-minute break in the middle of Batman?!

The other thing about Turkish movie theaters is that you have assigned seating.  Michele, Rachel, and I realized this after already having sat down.  A couple minutes before the movie, we realized we'd better move to our assigned seats, so we got up to find row 8, seats 7, 8, and 9.  When we got to the end of the row, we realized we were already sitting in row 8.  We turned back around to find the correct seats, and to the chuckling of the people behind us, we sat down in the exact same seats we'd been sitting in before.  What are the odds?

Alyssa. Any break in the middle of Batman is uncivilized. I am displeased.

But what did you think of the MOVIE?
